After playing with camera settings all day, I think I have it...
Ingredients:
Beads
Craft Ott light
White milk glass casserole dish half filled with clean water
Towels
Tripod
Camera
Camera Settings:
P mode
Custom white point shot on white sketchbook paper
ISO: auto
Super Macro (hold down flower button until the icon has an "s" on it)
Timer at 2 seconds
Bump up the lightness - 2/3 for most things, 1 for boro
Retouch with Gimp:
Crop out the background with an aspect ratio of 1:1. Don't go smaller than 430x430
Colors > Levels > Auto white picker - pick a lighter spot on the white background
Clone tool to remove unwanted cat fur floating in the water.
Get a nice close up of each for etsy icon image
